Triad RF Systems

Founded 2013 · Acquired 2024Designs and builds high-power bi-directional amplifiers for MANET radio systems used in military and public safety, along with high-power amplifiers for terrestrial communications and low-earth-orbit satellite systems. Acquired in 2024 by Comrod AS, a Norwegian manufacturer of antennas, masts, and power supplies, which recently became part of Bridgepoint Group.

Stealth Microwave

Founded 1995 · Acquired 2005Designed and built high-power linear amplifiers using proprietary linearization technology, along with solid-state replacements for traveling-wave-tube amplifiers in point-to-point microwave telecommunications links. Grew the company to eight-figure revenue and a successful acquisition by Micronetics, Inc. in 2005, which was later acquired by Mercury Systems in 2012.

Products I Brought to Market

I worked on each of the products below from first customer conversation to full production. I developed the specifications with the customer, worked directly with design engineering through conception and prototyping, and then worked with Production to deliver on schedule while holding to the agreed specifications.

Stealth Microwave Products

I was responsible for all of the products that Stealth offered in their line-up. From the TWT replacements that operated at 6 and 11 GHz, to linearized Class A amplifiers that operated in frequency bands from
800 MHz to 3 GHz.

Triad RF Products

Below are some of the products I was responsible for from customer inquires to full production.

TTRM1111D-D02

4 GHz - 6 GHz 2-Channel Bi-Direction Amplifier made for a prime defense supplier. This unit was tested and passed against MIL-STD 810F and MIL-STD 704G standards.

TA1220

This product was design for Counter UAS for a prime defense manufacturer. We designed the unit to have separate paths to properly interfere and not interfere with certain frequency bands.

THPR1070

This unit was designed for a leading helicopter manufacturer. It has a built-in 4 Channel MIMO radio inside along with 4 individual 30W BDAs. Built-in heat sinking and field replaceable fans were also designed into the DO-160 chassis.

TTRM1013D-D01

This unique wide-band 50W has both transmit and receive sections for 2-Channel operation. It is used in a prime contractors Collaborative Combat Aircraft (CCA) for ISR data links.

My Second Mountain

I spent my entire career in RF and microwave communications, and most of the products I worked on ended up in military systems. Alongside my advisory work, I’m now building Live Prescription Free, a community helping people pursue better metabolic health and NOT end up in a nursing home as they age.
